EME Students Attend 2005 ASSE National Future Safety Leaders Conference

November 2005

On November 3-5, four Penn State student members of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) attended the National Future Safety Leaders Conference in Cleveland, OH.

Jae Hoon Lee, Jere Pallis, Bob Pullampally, and Adam Soden, along with over 100 other student members from 14 institutions, were given a thoughtful insight into the future of Safety, Health and Environment (or Industrial Health and Safety as it is known at Penn State).

Various industry professionals, including ASSE President Jack Dobson, Jr., held panel discussions and conducted breakout sessions with the students. Student members also participated in tours of the Tremco Sealant/Weatherproofing facility, DayGlo Colorant Corp. headquarters, and the Lake County Emergency Management Agency. ASSE is the oldest and largest professional safety society and has over 30,000 members worldwide.
